Fathatain Double Fatha

(Page 21)

  • Before we did all the movements in its single form now, we will have all the mentioned symbols in its double form.
  • The symbols Two Fatha (Fathatain), two Kasra (Kasratain) and two Dhamma (Double Dhammatain) are called Tanween, because the Noon sound is being produced when we pronounce it i.e
    ( ـًـ ) ( ـٍـ ) ( ـٌـ )
  • While pronouncing Tanween, the sound of the letter should not be prolonged such as بٌ should be read بن not بون.
  • The rules of Tanween will be mentioned gradually in upcoming topics.

1. Fathatain (Double Fatha)

  • The first type of Tanween is Double Fatha/Fathatain.
  • If there is Double Fatha/ on the last letter, it will be pronounced with Alif instead of Tanween while, stopping on the last letter.
