  1. Idgham (Merging/Joining) is a rule wherein one letter is being merged into other ,if any of the (YARMALUN) Letters ى، ر، ل، م، و، ن appears after Noon Sakin then we will merge the sound of Noon sakin and Tanween with respective letters and we have two types of Idgham.
  2. If letter ن، ى، م، و appears after ن Sakin or Tanween, then it will be pronounced with nasal sound ,is called Idgham with (Ghunnah).
  3. If the letters ل، ر comes after ن Sakin or Tanween, then it will be pronounced without nasal sound and is called Idgham without (Ghunnah).
  4. The rule of Idgham will be applied if Noon sakin and Tanween and (YARMALUN) Letters ى، ر، ل، م، و، ن come in two different words, we have four examples in Quran where this rule cannot imposed بُنْيَانٌ،قِنْوَانٌ،صِنْوَانٌ،دُنْيَا. . Here we will do Izhar without merging and nasal sound, this type of Izhar is called Izahar-e-MutlaQ.
