Lesson No. 20

Noon-e-Qutni

(Page 48)

  • Whenever two letters (Sakenain) come together then we will place the first sakin with Kasra according to Arabic rules as, it is difficult to pronounce it while starting with sakoon. Usually, in Non-Arab scripts of Quran, the small letter of Noon is used and This is called Noon-e-Qutni.
  • It is wrong to start from Noon-e-Qutni or to repeat it.
  • In stopping condition, we cannot stop on and cannot start with Noon-e-Qutni but starting would be made from next Hamza . Example: If we stop at اۨبۡنَهٗنُوۡحُ, we shall start from اِبْنَهُ’ it is wrong to start from اۨبۡنَهٗ with ن.
